For years documents were collected via the mail or through FTP services but now, with the ease of
the internet, document collection has been made simple. Online file submission has made the tracking of
documents and verification of receipt simple for both the authors and project managers.
Individuals wishing to submit a paper for peer review or publication simply create an account, upload their
document, and if the project requires conversion to Acrobat PDF, approve the resulting PDF file.
Our online source file to Acrobat PDF conversion system is surpassed by no one. As with any conversion of electronic
media from one form to another, there is the occasional (typically less than 1%) stubborn conversion. We allow
authors to request a manual conversion of their source document to PDF with a comment as to the errors they wish
corrected.
In addition to paper submission, we also can configure your site to allow the uploading of abstract files
and or supporting files such as .mpg or .avi files. If you camera-ready submission process requires the figures for
a submission be uploaded separately, we simply turn on that feature for your project. When you request it,
documents, PDF files, and ancillary files are provided to you either via FTP or on CD-ROM.
Your project managers and event coordinators have access to online reports that tell them the status of the
submissions. The reports allow the individual downloading of documents so your coordinators can access the documents
at will.
Our automated email system communicates to authors the status of their submission. It even starts
sending reminder emails towards the end of the submission period.
